After 25 years as a partner or director of law firms, Adair is now focusing his expertise on assisting people to move from the challenges of the past to the opportunities of the future.

Specifically, helping individuals and organisations to engage, listen, communicate and discover solutions themselves, in order to resolve conflict, address social issues and drive cultural change.

Throughout his legal career Adair has been involved in a wide range of matters, including advocating for survivors of child abuse, assisting Veterans, negotiating Australia’s first PFAS ground water contamination settlement and assisting a group of former child gymnasts advocating for change in the wake of the Athlete A documentary that led to the establishment of the restorative justice scheme by the Australian Sports Commission in 2022.

In all areas of his work he has strived to make difference, not only for his clients but also for the betterment of society.

"With a diverse group of employees, from executive to transport staff and feedlot workers, Adair delivered content that was impactful and engaged each department. Adair's ability to adapt and draw the attention of our staff to these pressing issues was exceptional."

"For fifteen years, the girls at Fairholme have hung on his words and collectively enjoyed his presentations - although he always challenges them to think and to consider things from a different perspective. We are so grateful to Adair for the passion and expertise he has around topics that matter but are rarely addressed effectively."

Many organisations face challenges involving staff behavior around mobile phones, sexual harassment and social media to name a few.

We wanted to be proactive in this space and so consulted with Adair with the expectation of ensuring our staff not only understood their obligations under their contracts, but to also challenge our Executives to be vigilant. Over a period of months, Adair presented to all staff.

With a diverse group of employees, from executive to transport staff and feedlot workers, Adair delivered content that was impactful and engaged each department. Adair’s ability to adapt and draw the attention of our staff to these pressing issues was exceptional.

Working with our team in their own environment was ideal and Mort and Co is proud to have the assistance of Adair in leading the change in our workplace.

Education

Adair Donaldson has been engaged with Fairholme College in the ‘putting youth in the picture’ space for more than fifteen years.

Fairholme College was one of his first pilot schools when he began presenting around the contentious and weighty topics of consent, sexual harassment and discrimination, safe partying etc. With skill, he has negotiated these and other pertinent adolescent topics with the fresh discernment of a lawyer, the wisdom of practical knowledge and a genuine empathy for young people’s challenges as they negotiate their way safely, into adulthood. He pulls no punches in delivery.

He is constantly seeking out relevant topics and relatable delivery methods. For fifteen years, the girls at Fairholme have hung on his words and collectively enjoyed his presentations – although he always challenges them to think and to consider things from a different perspective.

We are so grateful to Adair for the passion and expertise he has around topics that matter but are rarely addressed effectively. His effectiveness cannot be questioned.

Adair has devoted his life to supporting and representing those in our community who are vulnerable. Not only has he taken on challenges no one would, he has led the way in changing and developing the eco system to protect those who need protecting.

Adair’s focus on trauma informed responses is critical and his education first priority ensures the creation of culture from an organisations grass roots rather than addressing culture when it is too late.
